I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music and have performed and worked in New York, where I gained practical experience in jazz performance and improvisation.

I see it as any other physical activity where one takes the time to understand and put into practice the knowledge earned. After performing for almost 20 years, my urge to teach and to help other singers reach greatness grew intensely.

I have been a music educator for over 20 years in both private lessons and in classroom settings. I am currently teaching at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where I teach Jazz Vocals, Composition, Music Pedagogy, Singer-Songwriter, Music Business, and Music Theory.
