Working as a collegiate private vocal instructor, a public-school music teacher, and as a Music Together teacher leading classes for parents with infants and toddlers has helped me to understand all facets of music education.

Kara Alfano served on the voice faculty of Concordia University in Ann Arbor from 2005-2025, teaching voice lessons to music and non-music majors. She has also developed and taught courses including Voice Pedagogy, Voice Diction, Opera Workshop, and Vocal Arts Lab.

Hi! I'm Kat! I'm a voice/acting teacher based out of New York and a Music Theatre and Film performer. I have been the lead in feature films, short films, international tours, and Off-broadway shows. As a teacher, many of my students have performed roles in regional theatres, been in films, led their worship groups, and even had one-person shows and solo concerts.
