I attended high school at Baltimore School for the Arts as a music major, where I got to hone my music theory skills and learn the finer points of phrasing and rhythmic placement. Since then, I have focused on playing mostly in bands, though I also make solo music and with collaborators.

Born and raised in Billings, Montana, I am entering my fourth decade as a music teacher and theater coach in Eugene, Oregon, where I remained after graduating from the University of Oregon School of Music in 1994.
