About Me My name is Yulia Smyk, and I am a professionally trained and certified piano educator with over 25 years of teaching experience. I specialize in working with children and fostering a deep love for music in young learners. I hold an Associate Degree in Music Teaching for Children from the Saint Petersburg College of Music in Russia, Department of Piano.

As a film and TV composer with over 20 years of experience, my music has been featured in major projects like Pirates of the Caribbean, Miami Vice, and The Monkey King, as well as Emmy-winning shows like Man In The Arena and Cured.

I grew up with two music teachers for parents, so I've been surrounded by music my whole life. I've played piano since I was 6 and guitar since I was 13. I attended Queensland University of Technology for Music Performance after finishing high school, and have taught privately since 2012.
