I am a pianist, arranger and music teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching piano, guitar and music theory. My journey in music education began at the age of 21, at the Marist Center, an NGO where I had the privilege of teaching music to children between the ages of 7 and 14.

Philipp Petkov was born in Baranovichi, Belarus and began piano studies at the age of six. In 1996, he entered the National School of Arts “Veselin Stoyanov” in Rousse, Bulgaria, where he studied solfege, theory, harmony, and piano with Veselinka Ivanova and Daniela Kjurkchieva.

I've been teaching guitar for about 10 years. Playing guitar has been part of my life since age 10—starting with acoustic, then electric, and eventually adding classical guitar to the mix. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (Germany), where I developed both my musical and educational foundation.

I'm a self-taught piano teacher and everything I do is built around playing by ear. Learning complex chord changes, syncopation, improvisation, and all my favorite songs entirely by ear is what has been driving me from the very beginning and is still what gets me excited today.

I am a jazz pianist studying for a BA in Jazz at Leeds Conservatoire (2023–2026), following a foundation year in jazz (2022–2023). I perform regularly as a solo pianist at The Majestic Hotel by Hilton in Harrogate (2023–present) and play in various ensembles both within and outside my university curriculum.
