I hold a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music with an emphasis in Guitar, earned in 2018. My formal training provided a strong foundation in classical guitar, electric guitar, music theory, performance, and contemporary music. During my university years, I actively performed in numerous university-organized events and concerts throughout the Philippines.

What started as a childhood fascination with the guitar grew into a lifelong pursuit of music. I picked up the bass in middle school and high school, but it wasn't until I found myself living in New York City that I began seriously studying and performing on the instrument — diving deep into jazz, blues, and funk and never looking back.

I’ve been teaching and performing music in the Washington, D.C. area for over three decades. My solo classical guitar performances have garnered me recognition, but I’ve also played in various musical ensembles, ranging from flamenco to jazz to rock. I studied Classical Guitar at Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University.

Hello! My name is Josh Mottley, and I have over 40 years of experience as a professional musician and music educator. I’ve toured nationally, recorded 100+ albums, and taught private lessons on guitar, piano, bass, vocals, drums, and more.

I am a professional bassist with over a decade of studying, gigging, and traveling all over Europe with different musical projects. I specialize in helping others find their place in music not only through the bass but also through the electric guitar.

Brett Rechtfertig has been teaching professionally for 11+ years, is an international touring musician and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. Having played guitar for 25 years, Brett has professional experience onstage and in the studio in virtually all styles of popular music; a range of genres from jazz, blues, funk, folk, country all the way through rock and metal.

I’m a guitarist, online guitar instructor, and audio engineer with 20 years of playing experience and 5 years of teaching experience. I specialize in rock and metal guitar, but I work with students of all styles who want to become more confident, creative, and self-sufficient on the instrument. My lessons are practical, personalized, and built around how you actually learn.

The best online music lessons shouldn’t feel like watching a video, they should feel like making music together. That’s the philosophy behind every lesson I teach. During the shift to online learning in 2020, I dedicated myself to developing an interactive teaching experience that goes far beyond a typical video call.
