Learn from Great Stand Up Comedy Teachers

Hi! My name is Mary Gallagher and I've been performing stand-up comedy and improvisation for years. In 2018, I had my national stand-up comedy debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert -- I've also performed improv and sketch comedy on The Tonight Show and Ellen.

About Me I have spent fifteen years doing one thing: helping young people find their voice — on stage, in the classroom, and in life. I hold a BA in Theatre Arts and Early Childhood Education from UC Santa Cruz, which means I was literally trained to do exactly this. Teaching theatre to kids is not something I fell into. It is what I was built for.

Amara is a comedian, actor, and teacher hailing from Princeton, New Jersey. She studied Theatre at Northwestern University and now lives in Brooklyn, NY. She cares about thoughtful, imaginative, and accessible programming of improv comedy.

Maria Rivadeneyra is a stand-up comedian and coach who has opened for renowned comedians like Sofía Niño de Rivera and Led Varela. A finalist in BC's Funniest Female competition and producer of Comedy with an accent, Maria offers personalized coaching to help new comedians find their voice, craft strong routines, and build confidence on stage.
