Hi! My name is Telesmar Sanchez, and I am a professional jazz guitarist and guitar teacher. I can teach whatever style of guitar you're interested in (blues, rock, pop, funk, jazz, etc.) as well as music theory, sightreading, and songwriting.

I am offering lessons on piano, bass, guitar, and ukulele for all ages and skill levels. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2019 with a B.A. in Music, where I performed with jazz small groups and the Black Voices Gospel Choir.

Music has always been at the centre of my life — as both an art and a language of expression. I’m a composer, violist, and educator with a PhD in Composition from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I was mentored by Sir Harrison Birtwistle and Hans Abrahamsen.

I have been playing jazz guitar since the 1990s and have been teaching private guitar lessons to beginners and adult students since 2006. In high school, I performed in an award-winning stage band that competed at MusicFest Canada Nationals, where I was selected for the All-Star Band under the direction of Rob McConnell.

I hold a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the prestigious Rotterdam Conservatory (2001) and a Bachelor of Music from the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam (1999).

Eric Ching is a jazz drummer and composer currently residing in Austin, TX. He plays music with a tremendous amount of purpose and is infinitely creative in the way he manages color and shape. With his compositions, he aims to explore new territory while channeling the spirits of McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, and Kenny Garrett.
