He received his B.M. and M.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida, and a Ph. D in Music Theory, with a related field in Vocal Pedagogy from the University of North Texas.

I like to work within the Jazz and Brazilian music styles. Besides developing reading skills, improvisation theory and creativity, I stimulate students to learn by heart the repertoire. Every week we study a new tune, memorize it, improvise on it and analyze its melody an harmony.

I have been an instrumental music teacher for 20 years. I have worked in public schools and private schools, in persons and online. I have taught private lessons, small groups, large classes and 200-hundred person concert bands. As a performer, I have participated in numerous ensembles.
