I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Arts from the University of Uyo, Nigeria, where I received formal academic training in music theory, composition, performance, and contemporary music practices.

Hi! I’m Sophie Laffey, a UK-qualified educator with over 10 years of experience working with children aged 5 to 10 across both mainstream and alternative learning environments. I hold a BA (Hons) in Learning and Teaching from the University of Northampton (2016–2017), and a Foundation Degree in Learning and Teaching (2014–2016).

I’m Chris Wineland, a national touring stand-up comedian and comedy coach specializing in clean, high-impact material for both stage and digital platforms. I’ve performed across the country in theaters, churches, clubs, and conferences, and my work has been featured on Dry Bar Comedy, Huckabee, and other national platforms.

I am a passionate and dedicated music educator, vocal coach, and songwriter with a strong background in both music and academic training. I currently teach vocal performance, piano, and music theory, helping students develop strong technical foundations while also building confidence and personal expression.

I’ve performed in bands, as a solo artist, and in musical theater productions, giving me a well-rounded perspective on both vocal technique and live performance.

I spent some time teaching in China (I can speak a tiny bit of Chinese), and now I am back in the USA to teach online! I have taught ages 4 to 80 at almost every level. My goal is to help students become confident with their English.
