Magda Mendes is a Portuguese singer who has made The Netherlands her home for the past twenty years. Known for her intimate and heartfelt performances, she writes and sings her own compositions with different ensembles. Alongside her career as a performer, Magda has been sharing her passion for music through teaching since 2010.

I am Marcella, a classical and popular singer, and a licensed music teacher. I have been teaching since 2015, both online and in-person, and have performed in various places around the world. With this experience, I am motivated to teach. Music is my first calling and motivation in life.

A few words about my journey in music: I studied classical piano from a young age until adulthood. Then, I explored traditional Greek music and quickly discovered my love for rock, funk, and pop music. While studying occupational therapy, I participated in various music groups, where I sang and played the piano, accordion, and percussion.

I am a professional lyric soprano with an international career in opera and symphonic repertoire, having performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Opera Frankfurt, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and Philharmonie de Paris. Before opera, I began as a child star in Brazil, singing jazz, pop, and bossa nova on national television.

I hold a dual degree in Voice Performance and Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude (2018), with a minor in Video Game Scoring.
