Hi! I’m a passionate music educator with over 8 years of teaching experience—5 years in public schools and 3 years teaching private lessons. In 2021, I was honored as Teacher of the Year at my public school in Rhode Island. I teach voice, piano, ukulele, and drums, and I’m trained to teach the basics of all band and orchestra instruments.

My education is from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) where I studied with Dr. Leigh Wakefield and earned a Bachelor of Music major in Music Education. I earned a master's degree in music education from the University of Nebraska (Kearney, NE).

Joel Panas is the Clarinet Graduate Teaching Assistant at West Virginia University where he is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Clarinet Performance. He also held the Clarinet Graduate Teaching Assistant appointment at Ohio University prior. He is an accomplished performer as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and wind band musician.
