Ryan Mascilak is a singer, multi-genre composer, arranger, and accompanist. In the span of 3 years, he received his BA in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He is a native of Middlesex County, MA, and a lover of all things nature.

I have a Music Degree from the University of British Columbia. I have been a professional musician for 30+ years and my travels have taken me to over 60 countries. I sing and play piano, saxophone, flute, acoustic guitar and bass guitar in a variety of styles and venues. I have also done extensive studio recording and have conducted and written for numerous choirs and orchestras.

Hi! I’m a passionate music educator with over 8 years of teaching experience—5 years in public schools and 3 years teaching private lessons. In 2021, I was honored as Teacher of the Year at my public school in Rhode Island. I teach voice, piano, ukulele, and drums, and I’m trained to teach the basics of all band and orchestra instruments.

I am a dedicated music educator based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with a lifelong love for music that began in childhood. From singing in choirs at the age of seven to mastering the piano and guitar, my journey has been one of deep exploration and joy. I hold a Grade 8 piano qualification from the Royal Schools of Music and have completed the practical requirements for my ATCL.

I started on the piano at the age of 2 and then proceeded to take lessons at the age of 5. I attended a prestigious choir school and then proceeded to get music scholarships to Hilton College and Berklee College of Music. I finished my piano grades in high school and released my first classical album at the age of 16.

In May 2020, I graduated with a Master’s in Music from Washington State University School of Music, where I also worked as a graduate teaching assistant, undergraduate piano classroom instructor, and piano accompanist. In my master's program, I have done extensive research on body-awareness and somatic education for musicians (specifically pianists) and I implement this research…

I have taught over 100 students from age 5 to over 50, online & in-person since 2015 long before online teaching was common. Though I only teach online now, I still have 2 students I have taught for those 10 years. (One started in first grade and is now in high school doing an amazing job, and even learning music theory, improvisation and how to compose).

Melanie's love for the piano began early in life. As she studied piano more intensively, she realized that teaching was her true passion. Since then, Melanie has devoted herself to piano pedagogy. Melanie received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance with a concentration in Pedagogy from SUNY Fredonia.
