Former Associate Principal Double Bass at the Royal Scottish National Orchestra 2015 - 2023, and former 2nd Solo Double Bass at the Royal Danish Opera (fixed-term contract). Teaching experience encompasses lecturing double bass at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, working with younger people at Sistema Scotland and private tutions of all ages.

Colin has been a performing and recording upright and electric bassist for over 8 years. Hailing from Vancouver and now residing in Montreal, Colin has been a popular accompanist for musicians of all styles, specializing in jazz, R&B, pop, rock, country, and folk. Colin is highly regarded for his collaborative spirit and creative contributions.

Prior to winning a Scholarship to study at the prestigious Grove School of Music in Los Angeles California, I worked extensively in the UK with well-known artists and shows. Omar Martinez-Sandoval is an active double bass player, educator, and composer based in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Uruapan, Michoacán, México, he began his music studies with Victor Flores at the Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia, Mexico. Martinez is Double Bass Faculty at the Peabody Preparatory of Johns Hopkins University.

I started playing violin at the age of eight and fell in love with music. I played in the Vermont Youth Orchestra. in high school and made some of my best friends that I still perform with! I decided to pursue music performance at the University of Vermont.
