Learn from Great Flute Teachers

Having been a teacher since 2013, I've come to learn a lot about not only myself and the way I teach but also what "teaching" means to me. When I started, I was mostly tutoring in person, then I started teaching online, so I had a mix of both around 2017. I taught ELA, social studies, some science, math, and music (piano, guitar, drums, saxophone).

Saxophonist, Composer, Author and Instructor Evan Tate has been a unique voice on the European jazz scene for nearly 30 years. With a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Performance from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and a Master's Degree from Codarts Rotterdam, where I graduated top of my year, I bring over a decade of teaching experience to students of all ages and skill levels.

I've had a love for music for as long as I can remember, but it was learning the flute that really drove me to pursue a career in music. As a New Hampshire All State participant and a John Philip Sousa Band Award recipient, I know first hand how much joy studying music can bring, but also the hard work and dedication it takes to excel.

My name is Dylyn, I am from the United States, and I have been playing the flute for 18 years. I have a strong passion for musical theater and experimental music. I have performed with chamber ensembles, orchestral ensembles, jazz bands, marching bands, theater pit bands, as well as solo performances. I also enjoy practicing and teaching pop and rock music as well.

I am highly experienced music educator, performer, and an advocate of music and arts. Elise Barber has a Master's degree in Elementary Music Education, a Bachelor of Secondary Music Education, Orff Level III certification, RCM Piano Grade 10, and over 10 years of experience in musical education. She has worked as an elementary school music teacher, a piano teacher, and an accompanist/singer. Elise is also a licensed Musikgarten instructor.

BIO Aidan O’Connor is an emerging band leader, saxophonist, and composer. He is influenced by the likes of Lester Young, John Coltrane, and Sonny Stitt. Aidan plays in a personal style, while still invoking the mainstream jazz tradition. Aidan graduated from the Eastman School of Music in the Spring of 2019, where he earned a BM in Jazz and Contemporary Media.

Helia Azar, was awarded outstanding talent prize in Fadjr International Festival three times in Tehran, Iran. She had the opportunity to work with so many great musicians in the United States, Canada, and Iran and also as a teacher at different universities and music institutes such as the University of Minnesota, Boise State University, and the University of Tehran.
