I approach music with a holistic mindset: with work ethic and discipline, yet also empathy and passion from the student's perspective. I see music as a tool to enhance the expression that already exists within the individual, while pinpointing necessary skills that still need to be developed.

I am a classically trained percussionist and a graduate of The Juilliard School, currently based in Hungary where I teach at a music school and maintain an active performing career. My Background I've been playing with classical ensembles and rock bands since 2001. Even though I started on classical trombone and rock guitar, I have come to expand my repertoire to a variety of instruments and genres. During my time in college I performed with the University choir, orchestra, and band.

Starting something new or figuring out how to take it to the next level can be challenging, but I am here to guide you every step of the way. Since 2020, I have dedicated over 8,000 hours to teaching more than 200 students across various subjects including Music, Spanish, English, and College Prep on multiple platforms.

Columbus born and raised, teaching music to students of any age for over 25 years. Started teaching after my high school band teacher put me in charge of the drum section of our school band. This helped form my love for directing and helping others learn new ways of playing these instruments. I haven't stopped since!

I've been playing percussion for over 20 years. I am a tenured percussionist with the Houston Ballet Orchestra and perform regularly with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, San Antonio Symphony, and Ft. Worth Symphony. I hold two music performance degrees from Baylor and Rice University.
