Learn from Great Hand Drums Teachers

I have been playing and performing the drums for the past 16 years. In a teaching situation I try and provide a relaxed and friendly environment in order to learn a students strengths and weaknesses. I want students to be able to learn at their own pace, and not to worry if they think they are not learning quickly enough.

I have been involved with Drums and Music since 1995. A lifelong student myself, I am deeply passionate about learning, exploring and sharing the amazing world of Percussion with my students and peers. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Western Washington University in 2006, and since then I have performed extensively across the country in clubs, theaters and festivals.

I'm a professional drummer, percussionist, educator, composer, and multimedia artist. I most recently was the drummer for Blue Man Group in Shanghai. I also was a principal performer in the cast of the NYC Broadway show STOMP. Justin Douté is a drum, classical percussion, hand drumming, and basic piano instructor. He attended the Denver School of the Arts for Music and the Manhattan School of Music. While an undergraduate, he overcame three leukemia diagnoses and later completed his Bachelor’s in Music Performance at the University of North Florida.
