I am a harpist, pianist, arranger, composer, performer, and lover of music. With over 10 years of experience teaching both piano and harp lessons. Although I graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho with a bachelor's in visual communication, I have continued to stretch my skills as a musician and teacher.

Professional harpist Melanie Mashner is passionate about bringing joy to the people around her through music. I am a classically trained harpist with over 18 years of experience of performing a wide range of music including popular, contemporary, religious, and classical. I primarily studied with Sheila Sterling of the San Diego Symphony. At Princeton University, I minored in Harp Performance where I studied with Elaine Christy.

Singaporean classical harpist, Ashley Lim Cheng Wei, is a current fellow at The Orchestra Now where she holds the position of principal harpist. Since starting the harp at age fourteen, Ashley has performed internationally in major venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Met Museum, Symphony Space, the Esplanade and Victoria Concert Hall among others.

I am a harpist and a scientist. At Brigham Young University, I minored in music, emphasizing in harp, while earning a geology degree. Formal training in harp at BYU gave me footing in the basics of harp, complimenting my analytical bent on music. I love combining these foundations and analytical sense with my love of harp and music.

I have been a music educator for more than four decades, teaching all levels from cradle to “almost grave!” My primary teaching on Lessonface is the mountain dulcimer and lever (Celtic style) harp. Since I participate in traditional music playing on both instruments I like to teach by ear but can provide music since I am a classical musician by trade.

Harpist Sophie Kim is currently pursuing her Specialist of Music at the University of Michigan with Yolanda Kondanassis. Raised in College Park, MD, Sophie was named a National Symphony Orchestra Youth Fellow in 2017. I offer coaching in voice, piano and guitar for singers, and songwriting. I work from a holistic methodology, incorporating elements of theoretical knowledge, ear training, performance technique, body awareness, mindfulness, creativity, and improvisation into my coaching sessions.

Hello! I’m Sarah, a harpist in LA, where I have recorded for film and pop music, among other projects. I started out mostly self-taught on a small lever harp, and then on a pedal harp in my local youth orchestra, where I was principal harpist for five years.
