Hi there, thanks for stopping by! My name is Drew-Martin Youmans, and I am a 28 year old professional violinist working in the NYC area but living in the historic Hudson Valley. I currently split my time 50/50 between an exciting orchestral career and teaching, and I decided to give online lessons a try for the new year.

I have been playing guitar for 15 years, and I have been playing professionally for about half of that time. Fronting bands like Ramshackle and Dan & Drum, I have toured nationally, playing legendary venues like The Troubadour and The Roxy. I am excited to begin teaching online bass students. I have performance experience as a Carnival Cruise Lines musician. Teaching is also something that excites me. I have developed a very direct way to teach intonation. This and supporting structure is all I want to teach. I have recently published this method in a book on Amazon called, "27 Progressive Intonation Exercises for Violin". Here is a description of the book. These exercises cover 9 different positions on the violin and each position has 3 levels of difficulty.
