Hello, I’m Hiyori! I have experience tutoring violinists and violists of all ages and skill levels, ranging from 5 years old to over 70. In my private lessons, I prioritize building a strong foundation in music theory alongside technical development, as I believe understanding the “why” behind the music is essential for long-term growth.

I play guitar, upright & electric bass, and piano. I've played in multiple bands throughout my life. I moved to Seattle with my band from Ann Arbor in 2016. We played Indie Psych Rock and were influenced by bands like Talking Heads, The Strokes, and David Bowie. We had the privilege of recording a single with Steve Albini(Nirvana) and an EP with Gordon Raphael(The Strokes).

Lee Quick teaches acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, bassoon, songwriting, music theory and live performance, using a holistic and minimalist musical approach. Lee has also led week-long seminars in acoustic guitar, music theory and songwriting for the National Guitar Workshop summer programs in New Orleans, Austin, Chicago and Nashville.
