Hello! My name is Sylvia. I am happy to meet you here at Lessonface where the subjects I love to teach are represented. For languages, I am CEDILS certified for Italian and TESOL certified for English. For music, my strongest instrument is the piano (Royal Conservatory of Music grade 10), then flute (Royal Conservatory of Music grade 8 regional silver medal winner) and then voice.

Since arriving in New York in 2009, Jatziri (pronounced Hat-City) Gallegos has become an international ambassador of cultural understanding through music. Premiering new compositions and cultivating spontaneous moments on the bandstand, the singer, composer and educator renews her commitment to promoting sensitivity through artistic expression.

I am a singer, songwriter, producer, and pianist. I gained teaching experience as assistant choir director and piano instructor at Music in the Village at Elon University. I worked as an assistant for Vocal Coach Nick Cooper at the Vocal Corner Store, an artist development center that has fostered artists including Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Nicki Minaj.

I have most recently completed my Master of Arts in Voice from the Royal Academy of Music where I also received a Licentiate of Pedagogy in Singing. I have a wide background of performing opera, classical, folk, jazz, and musical theatre having been in fully staged and orchestral backed productions.

I am a classically trained vocalist and pianist with a Bachelor of Science in Music from the University of the Arts (2017–2021), where I focused on vocal performance and studied piano, music theory, and musicianship. I also completed coursework in creative writing, which continues to influence my work as a songwriter and recording artist.
