I have been taking violin lessons twice a week with Katrina for exactly 3 months. Violin lessons with Katrina are a true joy, stress free, and have turned into the best part of my week - I really look forward to them.
I had never even picked up a violin before, and after 3 months, I have a good handle on violin fundamentals and technique, including reading sheet music, playing beginner songs, good posture, handling the bow, caring for my instrument, practicing with a metronome, etc. The lessons have a lot of variety and are always fun. I was even able to compose my first little violin original tune and record it, which was a real thrill to me.
Katrina is a great teacher with endless enthusiasm and knowledge. Her ear is really amazing too - she can tell right away when my violin is slightly out of tune - I am convinced her ear is more accurate than my tuner. She really knows her stuff!
I will continue taking lessons with Katrina and look forward to continuing my learning journey with her. I highly recommend Katrina to any adult (or anyone) looking to begin their violin journey.
