I am a woodwind performer, composer and educator who loves to make serious subjects fun and fun subjects serious. I graduated from Eastman School of Music in 2012 as the only Rogers Scholar in my class, and received a PhD in Music Performance and Composition from New York University in spring 2022.

I am Samuel Obasa, a passionate and dedicated music instructor and performing saxophonist with a strong commitment to helping students grow both technically and creatively. Today, I specialize in teaching alto saxophone, combining practical, hands-on learning with structured musical foundations to ensure my students develop confidence and real performance skills.

BIO Aidan O’Connor is an emerging band leader, saxophonist, and composer. He is influenced by the likes of Lester Young, John Coltrane, and Sonny Stitt. Aidan plays in a personal style, while still invoking the mainstream jazz tradition.
