Hey everyone! My name is Walt and I'm a guitar and bass instructor whose biggest passion is playing and teaching music to people who are passionate about it too! I graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science in Music but more importantly, I've gained tons of experience over the years by playing live, teaching and writing music.

Hi, I’m Xin! I’m a professional horn player who plays with the New World Symphony and graduated from the Yale School of Music, and I love helping students with auditions, fundamentals, confidence, and orchestral playing! I am a Juilliard trained violist and violinist, and I teach in order to share my love of music with as many people as I can! I teach music lessons and perform from the Boston area. Until recently I performed as second solo viola in the Opera Orchestra National Montpellier in France. I teach a studio of students ranging from complete beginners to pre-professionals.

I approach music with a holistic mindset: with work ethic and discipline, yet also empathy and passion from the student's perspective. I see music as a tool to enhance the expression that already exists within the individual, while pinpointing necessary skills that still need to be developed.

As a multi-instrumentalist, I bring a broad musical perspective to my teaching. My goal is to help students not only learn how to play their instrument, but also develop a deeper understanding of the music they are passionate about.

I’ve worked with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Daniel Caesar, 42 Dugg, Orion Sun and Robert Glasper, and composed music for Apple TV+, Hulu, and Riot Games. I tour internationally, with performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Within a year, Sheila entered her first national fiddling competition, and four years later, she began competing internationally.

With over 22 years of experience playing guitar, writing songs, and performing in blues, Americana, Nashville fingerstyle, rock, pop, and jazz, I help students develop the skills and confidence they need to express their own unique, artistic voice on the guitar and in their songwriting.
