I am a professional violinist, playing music from all ages, styles and genres. From ancient baroque music to Trap music. Also, I play and record meditative music. I have recorded at many Spotify music albums, as well as video productions and music for advertising. I have played violin in many orchestras in concerts, events, recital, festival, opera.

Originally from a tiny town in the Sierra Foothills in Northern California, I started taking piano lessons at the age of 9. Through the school band I picked up the clarinet and bass clarinet, and in high school my curiosity got the best of my and I learned how to play my grandpa’s cornet using a fingering chart printed from the Internet.

Hey everyone! My name is Walt and I'm a guitar and bass instructor whose biggest passion is playing and teaching music to people who are passionate about it too! I graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science in Music but more importantly, I've gained tons of experience over the years by playing live, teaching and writing music.

Initially trained as a classical violinist, my current passions include Southern Old-Time, Irish, French-Canadian Fiddle music and Klezmer. In June 2011, I became the first teacher in Washington State to be certified in the Mark O'Connor Violin Method, a developmental curriculum of American folk music for students of all levels.

Bio: I am a 29-year-old graduate of Jazz Performance studies at the prestigious Capilano University and an experienced music educator who has afforded himself lessons from the very best in the world. I have first-hand knowledge from music legends like Frank Vignola, Gene Bertoncini, Chris Eldridge, and locally to Vancouver, Bill Coon, and Ron Samworth among others.

As a vocal coach, I base my teaching on voice science, ensuring that my students develop a healthy and sustainable vocal technique. I hold an Estill Voice Training Level 1 & 2 certificate and continuously refine my skills through advanced training, including courses in extreme vocals.

I approach music with a holistic mindset: with work ethic and discipline, yet also empathy and passion from the student's perspective. I see music as a tool to enhance the expression that already exists within the individual, while pinpointing necessary skills that still need to be developed.
