Christopher is super friendly and funny, and makes the lessons feel easy and motivating. I’m learning bass and electric guitar in parallel and he’s built a really personalized approach around. He’s also super flexible with scheduling. Highly recommend.
Aline is a fun and organized violin teacher. As an adult beginner, she is a wonderful find! I feel encouraged in every lesson I take with her. I learn more in the first lesson with her than I have learned in a year. She has fun explanations when explaining everything from the melody to bow handling, leaves me notes, and provides homework. I've come to regard her teaching knowledge, experience, and communication style as my preferred standard now for evaluating tutors in other subjects. I feel really lucky to have found her and would wholeheartedly recommend her.
As a beginner, Rob was very patient, understanding and flexible with our lesson schedule. Gave me an initial assignment that will improve my left and right hand techniques. Looking forward to continuing with Rob as an instructor on bass.
Stephanie is an extraordinarily talented, kind and patient violin teacher. I have been working with her since the Pandemic via video and have learned so much. Stephanie sees students in person as well as online via lesson face. We meet the other students in annual showings of whatever pieces that we are working on and wish to share. Stephanie has students of all ages and skill levels. I am always impressed by how Stephanie sensitively connects with each student and encourages them. Stephanie is versatile in teaching both classical music and contemporary music according to whatever motivates students. I cannot recommend Stephanie highly enough.
This was my fourth lesson with Esther Howard. So far she is great about going at my pace and making sure I have all my questions and concerns addressed. She makes great use of the 30 minutes lessons and gives manageable homework for what I have going on in my life right now. If she notices that you are struggling with something in particular she will slow things down and let you spend more time where needed. If you were on the fence about taking lessons from Ester...Don't be!! Shes great!

What is Lessonface?
How do online Strings lessons work?
What is the best method for learning Strings ?
We're biased, of course, but at Lessonface we believe the best way to learn Strings is through one-on-one lessons. Personalized instruction means your teacher can tailor every lesson to your goals, learning style, and skill level. Online group classes can also be a great way to make learning fun and social. Learning Strings online makes it easy to stay consistent, which is essential to steady progress.
There are plenty of apps and YouTube videos out there to help with learning Strings, but most teachers agree that those resources work best as supplements to, not replacements for, one-on-one instruction. A skilled Strings teacher can identify bad habits before they become ingrained, help you focus on what matters most, and solve problems as soon as they arise, often saving you months of frustration and wasted practice time. The bottom line? A real teacher accelerates your progress and keeps you on the right path from day one.
How do I find the best teacher for me for Strings lessons?
With over 100 qualified Strings teachers who have together earned an average of 4.99 out of 5 stars over 8371 lesson reviews by verified students, you can be sure to find a great instructor at Lessonface.
