I am a professional modern and Baroque violinist and a passionate violin teacher. I have more than 22 years of experience in violin performance and I have been a teacher for more than 8 years having taught students of all levels and ages ranging between 5 and 65.

With his lifelong visions in enriching people’s lives through music, Mr. Ming-hang Tam is an active violinist who enjoys his passion in violin playing since the age of four. His outstanding skills and technique in violin performance, with superb communications to deliver precise teaching points at each lesson, are beloved by his students and their parents. Overall, Mr.

Pete began playing electric bass in 1988, self-taught for the first two years, he learned to play by ear on a fretless 4 string bass. It was not long afterwards that he progressed to 5 and 6 string fretted and fretless basses as well as double bass.

Suzuki student turned parent and teacher. My passion is in helping young children to develop a love for music and to develop life skills by learning to play violin. I started violin at the age of 3 and continued into college, completing all 10 Suzuki violin books and participating in orchestras and chamber groups along the way.

For over 33 years as a musician and 29 years as an educator for all grade levels and teachers alike, I have the experience of learning from my previous students and applying more efficient techniques to current and future ones. Much like my students, I work towards learning the most innovative techniques while foreseeing the trends of the future in music and education.

Music teaching has been my passion for 50 years. I love seeing students develop in their confidence, skill, and problem-solving ability. Since retiring from playing violin in professional orchestras, music teaching has been my focus, with students age 4 to 84.
