Award winning tabla player, composer and teacher Ritesh Das was born in Kolkata, India to parents Nrityacharya Prohlad Das and Smt. Nilima Das. He is the brother of the late kathak dancer, Pandit Chitresh Das. His parents had a music and dance academy, Nritya Bharati, the first of its kind in Kolkata after the Independence of India.

Ustad Shafaat Khan, world-renowned classical Indian musician, debuted at the age of 11 in the King’s Lynn Festival opened by the Queen Mother. Hello! I am Parth Chaturvedi, a professional Tabla player and educator with over 6 years of experience performing and teaching this incredible percussion instrument. My musical journey began under the guidance of Pandit Prabhash Maharaj and I am currently under the guidance of Pandit Shubh Maharaj, and I am deeply rooted in the traditions of the Benaras Gharana.

I studied classic percussion at the La Plata city Conservatory with the master Ernesto Ringer (Colon theater percussionist). I studied drums with the master Horacio Gianello and Hindu percussion (tabla) with the master Sanjay Badhoriya and Armony with the master Horacio Moscovici.

Shreyas Iyer has been playing and learning tabla since he was 7 years old. As a musician, teacher and event producer, he has organized and performed in several shows locally as well as internationally. Shreyas continues to spread his knowledge and passion for the tabla through classes and workshops in his school Dhaa School of Music.

Hello! I am Dr. Aroop Chatterjee, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music and Dance at Kurukshetra University, Haryana. Alongside my academic career, I am a professional Tabla artist, author, and educator belonging to the esteemed Banaras Gharana lineage.

Born in a Maharashtrian family, I entered the learning tabla at the age of 10. Being a disciple of many Tabla gurus I gained a profound knowledge of Ajrada Gharana. In the beginning, I was not developing an interest in tabla until I started to participate in district competitions. There a spark of success embraced me from which I started to take tabla seriously.
