Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! I had an interest in education at a young age. After heart surgery left me unable to participate in sports or recess in the fifth grade, I became a teacher’s assistant, and my love for teaching began to blossom. In the sixth grade, I began playing the viola. I went on to become viola section leader in high school.

Ms. Aylor has been a section Violinist and Violist with the Pensacola Symphony, Pensacola Opera, Panama City Pops, and Sinfonia Gulf Coast. She was a founding member and Concertmaster of the Okaloosa Symphony Orchestra and Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. Ms.

I am an upper strings educator with 30 years of playing experience and 22 years of teaching in a variety of education settings. I earned my Bachelors in Viola Performance at the University of Houston in 2007 and my Masters in Education from Lamar University in 2011.

Alyssa Meyer began playing violin at the age of 6. She switched to viola as a primary instrument at the age of 10. Alyssa is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in viola. She has been teaching private violin and viola lessons since 2005 and also taught with the Baylor University Strings Project from 2007-2009.

I have trained classically under world-renowned teachers throughout the United States and Europe, and my passions have also brought me to jazz, pop, hip hop, and folk music, as well as improvisation in all of these styles. I have played classical music since three years old. I have taken over 500 lessons myself. I started on violin but switched to viola in high school. I now have many years experience with both. I have found that many violinists tend to stick to classical or fiddle. I am very different. I have experience with many different types of music.
