Jimmy Parker will discuss balancing rations and nutritional needs at different stages of sheep development. Mr. Parker will explain what to test for, what alternatives are available, drought year challenges, nutritional gaps you might be missing, mineral needs, etc.

Enrolled students will receive an immediate email confirmation of enrollment, and on the day before the seminar, a reminder with Zoom link to join the class via email. Students will also be able to join the Zoom sessions from their Lessonface dashboard. Students can connect to Zoom using a tablet or computer with reliable internet. To actively participate online students also need a webcam with microphone.

Jimmy Parker

    Jimmy Parker, Animal Nutritionist, does rations formulation for the farmers co-op line and several independent feed companies for all species. He also does farm consulting 3 days a week in a territory that covers all of Alabama, half of Tennessee, West Georgia, East Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle. He has raised sheep for 37 years and spent 25 years on the Alabama Sheep and Goat Committee, 7 years as Alabama's representative to the ASI Board, 4 years on the ASI Executive Board as the Region 2 Director, and is currently serving his 5th year on the American Lamb Board.
