About Bossa Nova Piano with Isabella Mendes
Always wanted to learn Bossa Nova? Join me in this class! We will learn the foundation of bossa nova rhythm and music. We'll start with a review on chords and intervals in order to learn the most used voicings in Bossa Nova. We'll apply the theory to songs and create voicing and rhythm together. Students will learn songs during the lesson but are welcome to bring songs they may be working on.
Class Materials Needed
Book "Piano Bossa Nova" by Turi Collura, Keyboard or piano, Staff paper, Blank/unlined papers/notebook, pencil and eraser.
Class Goals
- - Review knowledge of intervals and chord building and definition
- - Learn different rhythmic patterns used in Bossa Nova music
- - Learn simple rules for voicing and voice leading
- - Apply knowledge in songs

Must have some knowledge of piano and note reading.
