About FUNdamentals of Weaving: Learn To Weave Today!
Have you ever been curious about weaving? Have you wanted to try, but don't have a loom or a lot of time? This FUN class will get you up and weaving in no time, learning all the skills you need on a miniature real loom! You'll learn all the parts of a loom, how to create a warp, wind it onto the loom, adjust tension, fix errors, and then WEAVE! Best of all, the skills you learn in class will apply to almost any type of loom, and you'll be able to jump in without the learning curve. Join us for a fun, immersive introduction to weaving that will easily turn into a favorite lifelong endeavor!
What will students learn:
Parts of the loom, yarn/fiber choices, warping the loom, plain weave, clasped weft technique, fabric wet finishing.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
Worsted weight yarns of all types, textures and colors. A solid black is great for warp. Natural wool is best.
