Introduction to Correct Breathing for Flute Playing

About Introduction to Correct Breathing for Flute Playing

Do you feel dizzy when you play the flute?
Do you struggle with playing long phrases on the flute?
Do you find it difficult to get a clean beautiful sound on the flute?

If you can relate to any of those questions above, then this introductory breathing class for flute playing is for you.

Most beginner flute players view breathing only as a survival tactic needed to get through a long phrase without passing out.

However, correct breathing is also a powerful tool that enhances tonal improvement and transformation on the flute.

This is why I have developed this course where I will be unpacking “my cheat codes” to help you engage your breath, introduce you to the mechanics of “Breath Support”, and how it improves the color, quality, and projection of your sound.

Class Goals:

1. Understanding the mechanics involved in breathing for flute playing.
2. Engaging the diaphragm when playing the flute.
3. Achieving a beautiful clean tone.
4. Learning my “Cheat Code” for a beautiful and clean sound on the flute.
5. Playing longer phrases using a controlled airstream.
