About Beginner Tablet Weaving

Welcome to the world of narrow band weaving. Students will learn the basics of tablet/card weaving, including warping a loom using tablets/cards, reading a simple pattern, tension & beating tips, finishing your band. Students will either make a single band, or up to 3 bookmarks.

The capacity for this class is 7 students.


Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class

Pen and paper for note taking if desired.


Materials Fee and Description

Your class registration fee includes materials with a value of $20 consisting of:

Use of loom, shuttle, tablets, yarn, pattern, and resource sheets.


Pre-class Homework

No homework prior to class.

Age Range

Minimum age requirement for workshop: 10

Kristine has been working in the fiber arts for her entire adult life from crochet, weaving, embroidery, sewing, etc. following in the footsteps of generations of fiber artists in her family. She started tablet weaving in 2021 quickly developing her skills, and rapidly advancing to complex weaving designs and techniques.
