About Drop-In and Spin! (B)
Ever wonder if spinning is for you (or your child)? This is an exciting opportunity for complete beginners to stop by Emolyn's workshop to try all the tools we use to make yarn. You are welcome to drop-in, choose from a variety of fibers and colors, pick and hand card the fiber, treadle the spinning wheel, learn about drafting, and try spinning a couple yards of unique yarn. Emolyn will help you ply the yarn and make a mini-skein on a niddy noddy. Each person will take home what they make! Parent/Youth teams welcome - sign up as one!!! Adults without children and teens without parents are also welcome.
What will students learn:
Students of all ages will get the opportunity to try the unique tools that we use to make yarn such as hand cards, a spinning wheel, niddy noddy, and ball winder. You will get to touch all kinds of different fibers and learn about their different qualities.

Emolyn Liden
Emolyn learned to knit at a young age without patterns which led her to also spin and dye yarn and wool. She has developed a line of handknits and yarns, and designs knitwear inspired by the yarn.
