About Learn Color Work by Knitting a Penguin Hat
Whether you want to learn stranded color work knitting from scratch, or want to improve your skills (learn two handed, improve your tension, learn different carrying techniques etc), join us for a 3 hour class where you will end up with a very cute penguin hat!
The capacity for this class is 15 students.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
Using 2 or more colors of DK weight yarn, you will learn color work (or improve you current skills) byknitting a penguin hat. The pattern will be provided to you in class.

Pre-class Homework
With desired brim color (Color A), and smaller needle, CO 100 (120) sts.
Join in the round and place a marker to denote the beginning of rnd.
Ribbing Rnd 1: *K2, p2, rep from * to end of rnd.Rnd 2: *K2 tbl, p2, rep from * to end of rnd. (tbl means through the back loop)
Work rnds 1 and 2 five more times (six times total/ 12 rnds) or until desired height.
