About Needlefelt a Chorus Froglet
Meet Tilly The star of the children's book "Tilly's Muddy puddle" and a real conservation success story. The ornate chorus frog is a native North Carolina species currently listed as a species of concern, and in this class you will bring her to life in wool. Using needlefelting techniques students will create Tilly from statr to finish , building her dimensional body , sculpting her distinctive markings and adding details that make her unmistakably her. This is an advanced beginner class and while some felting experience is helpful, motivated beginners are welcome under instructor guidance.
The capacity for this class is 12 students.

students only need to bring themselves , a drink, maybe lunch or snack
Materials Fee and Description
Your class registration fee includes materials with a value of $15 consisting of:
wool, needles, printed instructions, and the use of a peice of foam
Pre-class Homework
No homework prior to class.

What skills or knowledge do students need to take this workshop?
no prior needlefelting experience required, beginners are welcome with instructor supervision. Some prior experience is helpful but not necessary

Melissa farms her own sheep and hand dyes the wool for her artistic projects that have been showcased in and out of the state. She has taught needle felting 6 years in other venues.
