About Oxford Punch Needle Skinny Mini Rug (Two-Day)
Advance class to punch a hanging, pillow, or tabletop 7" X 27" rug. "Skinny Mini" pattern of your choice! Select holiday, animal, and primitive patterns to match your style—a vast selection of yarn colors to choose from—a variety of Oxford Punch Needles for you to try to enhance your project. This 2 day workshop is scheduled for 6 hours each day to give you plenty of time to work on your project. However, if you feel comfortable with your project, feel free to step out of class to have extra time at the festival.
What will students learn:
Use of a variety of Oxford Punch Needle sizes, color selection, and novelty yarns. Embellishment options. Hemming or whipping the edge of the rug to finish.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
Purchased a pattern before class ($38.00) on monk cloth and embroidery scissors. If they own a grid hooking frame and any Oxford punch needles, otherwise, they will be available for loan.
Materials Kit and Kit Description
Your class registration fee includes a materials kit with a value of $175 which includes:
A variety of rug yarns, novelty yarns, embellishments, buttons, ribbons, fleece, velvet, silks, to name a few.
Pre-class Homework
The instructor will assist in pattern selection before class.

Kathy Donovan
Kathy raises heritage Karakul sheep for their long coarse rug fiber. Yarn is spun and she hand dyes the colors. She became certified in 2014 to teach Oxford Punch Needle. Teaching is her passion and introducing students to discover endless creative rug hooking and punch opportunities.
