Playing Flute from the Inside Out Part 1

About Playing Flute from the Inside Out

Are you interested in learning ways to breathe more confidently, produce a beautiful, expressive tone, and release tension for smoother technique? Have you ever wondered what’s going on inside your body when you play flute and how it might affect your flute playing? Your muscles, fascia, and organs are involved in every aspect of your playing. Wouldn’t it be great to find out how playing from the inside can enhance your playing to foster optimal function, movement, and ease?

In “Playing Flute from the Inside Out,” we will explore our anatomy together as it relates to flute, in an interactive, movement-oriented way. You will discover ways to unlock limitations, feel more at ease, and more integrated in your body and flute playing. Throughout the class you will learn how to gain more awareness and attention to your body as you play your flute and make changes that will allow you to play in new ways.

Each session is tailored to acquaint you with your body’s anatomy and movement that impacts playing flute.
