Spinning on the Charka: Cotton, Speed, and Control with Amelia Garripoli

About Spinning on the Charka: Cotton, Speed, and Control with Amelia Garripoli

Cotton and some fine fibers are unforgiving. The charka's speed and control make it the right tool for the job. Bring your spindle or wheel skills and gain control of your charka. With some technique troubleshooting, you will develop the skills needed to use the best tool for these fibers, especially cotton. We focus on speed, control, and twist as you align your drafting and turning speeds to spin the yarn you want. As a friend once said to me: master cotton and cashmere will be a breeze!
