Discover the art of wet-felting in our immersive two-day workshop. Designed for all levels, beginner to advanced, this class provides a comprehensive journey through the techniques and creativity involved in crafting a fabulously textured woodsy vessel.
Under the guidance of your tutor, Dawn Edwards, and drawing inspiration from organic shapes, textures, and colors found in the natural environment, we will explore various felting techniques, layering colour, and incorporating intricate details, to create amazing textures which capture the essence of nature.

Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
- 3 old bath-sized towels
- A plastic beach pail or bowl for water
- Small bottle of regular blue Dawn dish soap (no Oxy or bleach formulas) or your favorite felting soap.
- Very sharp, pointy scissors for cutting into felt (Fiskars are great).
- 10-12 marbles.
- 10-15 buttons, color doesn’t matter as they will be covered, size: 3/4 to 1 inch.
- A Ballbrause or laundry water sprinkler.
- Bubble wrap…2 ft. wide x 4 ft. length, small bubbles. Living Felt in Austin, Texas sells this by the foot so that you don't need to purchase an entire roll. Here is the link:

- A wooden spoon for shaping the vessel.
- Pool noodle (feel free to cut it in half for a length of 24 inches) for rolling the felt.
- Old pantyhose or a t-shirt which can be cut into strips to tie/secure your bundle for rolling.
- Simple sewing kit to include a sewing needle and strong black thread
- Bed risers to elevate table (optional)
Materials Fee (to be paid directly to the instructor) and Kit Description
$40 - includes kit with the wool batts, embellishing wools & fibers, embellishing fabrics, reusable laminate pattern/template, resist materials, written instructions, balloon. Instructor will have samples of vessels for inspiration.

The class will meet on Wednesday and Thursday, April 30th and May 1st, from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm, for a total of 12 hours of instruction. See the class schedule below.
