Great Fiber Arts Classes with Expert Teachers Online

Deborah Robson is a fiber generalist who specializes in spinning, knitting, and weaving, although she experiments with all aspects of textiles. She is the fiber author of The Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook and of The Field Guide to Fleece, in collaboration with livestock expert Carol Ekarius. For fourteen years she worked at Interweave Press, editing both books and Spin-Off magazine.

I originally studied fashion design in Tokyo, where I was raised, and worked as a costumer before I started to make fiberart. My work is a mixture of fiber techniques and book arts techniques. They are in collections at many universities, such asYale, Princeton, and SDAC, and have been exhibited across the US and Europe.

Henry has been building fiber art equipment for over 50 years and enjoys sharing his knowledge of both equipment and fiber. The family business he started in 1971 has introduced many innovations to the fiber arts community and their equipment is known for being not only thoughtfully engineered but visually pleasing and durable as well.

Elaina is the shepherdess at Avillion Farm in Efland, NC where she tends flocks of Shetland and Jacob sheep, Angora goats, Suri Alpaca, and cares for a large herd of Angora rabbits. After 30+ years raising fiber-producing livestock and experiencing lots of fibers in various stages of preparation and utilization, I still enjoy all aspects of fiber production, processing and making.

Deborah Robertson has no doubt that she stems from a lengthy line of spinners, weavers, seamstresses, embroiderers, and embellishers all the way back to prehistory. The daughter of a YWCA Camp Director, she was most often found in the Arts and Crafts cabin.

Heather Storta has been passionate about knitting from her first lesson in 2003. As a devoted lifelong learner, the minute she learned about TKGA and the Master Knitter program, she signed up. She became a TKGA-Certified Master Knitter in 2014 and was immediately asked to serve on the MHK Committee.

Angela Tong is a textile arts designer and instructor. She specializes in knitting, crochet and weaving. She enjoys teaching online, at yarn shops and traveling to fiber events & retreats. Her spare time is spent on the pottery wheel. Follow her on Instagram @angelatongdesigns.

Shelagh Jessop is the one-woman-show behind Stuart Moores Textiles, which is named after her great-grandfather. Shelagh is a textile artist and professional natural dyer, specializing in traditional natural dyes and historically accurate dye techniques.

Kris Jenkins is owner of alk&me, an ohio-based indie dye company. She has been immersed in the fiber world for 10 years now and teaching for the last six. When she is not attending festivals, she is teaching at her LYS or in her studio in Northfield Ohio.

KATE ATHERLEY is an internationally known knitting author, teacher, and editor. Her latest book, Custom-Fit Hats is her ninth, and the fourth in a series on customizing projects for perfect fit and style; it joins works on shawls, socks, and mittens.
