About Creating Comedic Characters for Podcasts
Do you love goofy characters, doing silly voices, or just acting out? Then, this is the class for you! Louie Pearlman, a writer for Sesame Street's podcast, will help you create your own original characters! In these fast-paced four weeks, you will take an idea for a character and story from inception to production, figuring out the style and content, while getting guidance from Louie and your fellow classmates to make your podcast the best it can be! Other than a computer, no other equipment is needed to create a podcast. Through fun character creation games and writing exercises, your imagination will go wild as you create the funniest character you can come up with and bring them to life!
This class is limited to 20 students.

The class will meet for four weekly 55-min live online sessions on Wednesdays at 4 pm ET | 1 pm PT | 20:00 UTC on the schedule below. The first session is on October 6.

How It Works
Students can connect to the online platform using a tablet or computer with reliable internet. To actively participate online students also need a webcam with microphone. The class is covered by the Lessonface Guarantee.

Louie Pearlman
Louie Pearlman has been an innovator and a maverick of the New York City comedy and arts scene since 2002. During his career, he's taught comedy, public speaking, and team-building across the continent with students of all ages. Louie is currently a writer on seasons two and three of Sesame Street's podcast "Foley and Friends," airing on the Audible platform.
