About Ice Dye Your Clothes & Fabrics (A)

Enjoy a comprehensive, colorful exploration of ice dyeing from a local expert! We will explore the differences between dyeing "on the rack" and "in the muck," strategies for dye over ice versus dye under ice, and all the amazing patterns and fabric manipulations you can create. Something for every experience level! Come enjoy the magic and mystery of the ice dyeing process.

The capacity for this class is 12 students.


Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class

Please bring things to dye (100% plant fibers) and flat-bottomed, lidded plastic containers to take your projects home in. A variety of containers and a variety of dyeable items will be available for purchase in class!


Materials Kit and Kit Description

Your class registration fee includes a materials kit with a value of $20 which includes:

All dyes, soda ash, rubber bands, disposable gloves, and use of my dyeing materials, plus handouts.


Pre-class Homework

Washing out (48 hours after class) will be required of all students, with written washout instructions reviewed in class.
