About Felted Basket
Baskets have a long and rich history serving practical and cultural purposes. Felted baskets can be functional or viewed as art. These are fun to make and can incorporate many textural features to create interest. A wide selection of colors in materials will be available to choose from.
What will students learn:
In this class, participants will learn how to bring a flat resist into 3-D form. You'll also learn a wool layout that promotes a round shape and how to add extreme texture. You will learn how to make tabs to hold a stick or handle and some final shaping techniques.

Bubble wrap, 16"x 36"
pool noodle (at least 18" length)
two old towels
Sharp, full sized scissors

Skin as a protective covering, and as identifier, and how it can record history. A study of animal skin, and human skin; leading to hybrids.
