About Harmonica for Beginners
Do you have a harmonica but you are not sure where to start? This workshop is ideal for you. We will discuss the fundamentals of harmonica technique, embouchure, air flow, how to hold the instrument, etc., and we will focus on the first goal that every beginner needs to pay attention to — playing single notes.
In order to practice that, we will work on some exercises, so that you're able to leave the class playing a song right away. We will work with a very simple tablature system (with numbers) that you'll be able to read with no need for any previous music notation knowledge.
To join this class, you'll just need a 10-hole diatonic harmonica in the key of C. It will be a great chance to try your first steps with the harmonica and see if you feel it's the instrument for you!
Class Goals
Goal 1: Blow & draw notes, breathe through the instrument
Goal 2: Play single notes
Goal 3: Play some exercises with single notes
Goal 4: Play your first song in the harmonica
