Small Rounds + Two at a Time
About Small Rounds + Two at a Time
What’s your favorite way to knit small circumferences in the round? In this class, we will explore knitting in the round with double-pointed needles, a small circular needle, two circular needles, and a magic loop. We’ll even look at some very clever ways to make big i-cords (such as glove fingers) and how to work two tubes (socks, anyone?) at the same time. By the end of class, you’ll know what you do and don’t like! If you are a new knitter, this class can save you money. Hint: You do not need a circular needle in every length increment.
The capacity for this class is 20 students.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
class yarn (smooth, non-splitting, light or bright or medium color)
double-pointed needles to work that yarn
an 8″ or 9″ micro-circular needle (Addi, Clover, Hiya Hiya & ChiaoGoo make these)
two circular needles of the same size needle tip (length may be different)
one circular needle at least 32″ long
stitch markers
crochet hook
Note: This class is a great excuse to invest in an interchangeable needle set. If you are taking the class to audition options before making a purchase, you can share with the instructor rather than making all these purchases ahead of class.
