About Handwoven Couture: Seaming, Finishing, and Innovative Design for Handwoven Garments

Take your handwovens to the next level with this unique workshop where we will
learn how to handle those fragile handwoven fabric edges with various seaming
and finishing techniques. We will also discuss and practice simple designs from
squares, rectangles, and triangles to create gorgeous fashion garments you will
love wearing!

The capacity for this class is 12 students.


Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class

Sewing machine and all accessories, comfortable seating, fabric yardage (at least
4-6yds) such as muslin or other basic cotton (or any fabric you may want to use
for practice), sewing notions and tools (thread, scissors, etc)

Your class registration fee includes materials with a value of $35 consisting of:

Pre-class Homework

No homework prior to class.

Minimum age requirement for workshop: 16

What skills or knowledge do students need to take this workshop?
Intermediate sewing skills with a good working knowledge of the sewing machine.
