Create pictograms in your pattern with using sketchpad in Fiberworks for Windows
About Create pictograms in your pattern with using sketchpad in Fiberworks for Windows
Did you know that you can simply draw a picture and apply functions to it to turn it into a weaving pattern?
In my work, I use Sketchpad for this purpose. During this workshop, you will learn a practical method for converting simple drawings or pictograms into woven designs, along with the key factors to consider throughout the process.
Fiberworks will be used to demonstrate how images can be prepared and adapted for weaving structures. Maryse will explain several Fiberworks functions, focusing mainly on the Sketchpad menu, which is particularly well suited for creating drawings and includes a variety of tools to help adjust images for weaving. The workshop will also cover a working methodology for translating drawings and pictograms into cloth while considering weave limitations.
The capacity for this class is 25 students.
