Foundations in Free-Motion Quilting with Teri Lucas

Join us for a beginning machine quilting class to get the most out of your domestic home machine. Quilt making is a combination of skills coming together to create and make something beautiful and practical. This class covers the practical means to achieve beautiful work; from accurate piecing to options in free-motion quilting. Teri shows us the little tricks that make all the difference in piecing and quilting. We'll make a small quilt and then move onto practice pieces.

This small group class is presented in collaboration with John C. Campbell Folk School and Lessonface. Participants should enroll at least two weeks before start to ensure materials kits arrive in time. If registering after this point, your kit may arrive after the first session. Students are invited to attend an optional Orientation and Closing Ceremony to connect with various online Folk School classes.

Class Materials

Your class registration fee includes a materials kit with a value of $120 shipped to your door. Residents outside the USA will pay the difference in shipping.

(8) 2 ½’’ dark squares

one fat quarter medium color for inner border and backing
one fat quarter for outer border and binding
One 16’’ square low loft cotton or mid loft poly/cotton batting

Two fat quarters for each quilt in a solid or mottled, silk, silk/cotton blend
