Ornamental Wheat Weaving: Learn to Plait Straw

Ornamental Wheat Weaving: Learn to Plait Straw with Linda Beiler

Unique Offerings: Wheat weaving and straw art

In this introduction to straw art class, you will learn how to prepare straw for plaiting. Over the course of the week, several plaits will be taught. The plaits will be shaped into harvest tokens. Bring your imagination, and you will never look at a wheat field the same again!

This small group class is presented in collaboration with John C. Campbell Folk School and Lessonface. Participants should enroll at least two weeks before start to ensure materials kits arrive in time. If registering after this point, your kit may arrive after the first session.

Didn't realize it was only going to be a tantalizing introduction to wheat weaving. Learned several great tidbits, though.
